DEJA VU? WEDNESDAY JANUARY 3RD.

Welcome to your sports betting blog for this morning, we have a review of the impact of last night's action, a guide to what's taking place today, and the major market moves. What's more it is all totally free. Firstly though I want to tell you how you can get involved, it isn't possibly for me to do all the work so if anyone can add anything that would be great, game preview, game review, sporting news roundup, special club information. The aim is for this blog to be an information exchange for everyone so that five or ten minutes of work from a few people can translate into hours worth of information for everyone. Were looking to develop the betting community and we need your help if you feel you can or want to get involved drop me an email or a comment on this website and I'll get right back to you. Alternativly head over to www.bettingforum.com or www.punterslounge.co.uk, my user name is anothamug, or anotha mug on punters. Message me and I'll tell you how you can be involved or drop me your email and I'll make sure you get all the information direct to your inbox, that's right all the information can come direct to your inbox, twice a day, free of charge. Who said Xmas was over, simply drop me your details and we pormise to just send you betting, no viagara, no nigerian lawyers and certainly no college girls bored and wanting to play, well unless you really want us to:)

In the meanwhile on with 3rd January's blog

DEJA VU
THE NEWS
CRICKET: Once more the England cricket team snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and collapse to 291 all out, Australia for their part were 188-4 at the close of play. The Aussies now range from 1/3 with BetFred to a more general 2/7 while an England win is 11/2 with bet365 and Bet Direct.
The draw now looks the least likely result as the weather on the first couple of days has been better than expected and the forecast is set fair for the rest of the match.
There's also enough in the pitch for the bowlers and all of that is reflected in Sporting Odds shunting the stalemate out to 7/1.
More value to be hand in a pig landing on the moon than on the England victory.
OTHER CRICKET
India sit 299-4 currently on the first day of the third test, the odds are Draw (1.57) India 3.5 and South Africa 7.1.
BLACK CAPS NAME SQUADS
New Zealand have named their squads for the ODI against Sri Lanka and the tri-series in Australia. New Zealand are 1.37with Betfair to add to their test series win, Sri Lanka are available at 3.1
DOMESTIC CRICKET
Yorkshire's director of cricket David Byas has left the club by mutual consent.
Australian pace bowler Ashley Noffke will join Gloucestershire as an early-season overseas replacement, in the likely absence of Umar Gul.
The odds for the domestic are too early to be priced, but these are interesting early moves as the plans for next season slowly start to take shape.
FOOTBALL
Villa 0 Chelsea 0
Arsenal 4 Charlton 0
All the bookies have now updated their prices after last night's Premiership action and Blue Square offer a standout 7/4 about Chelsea retaining their title after a third draw in a row for the champions.
The Blues missed the opportunity to close the gap on leaders Manchester United after a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa at Villa Park. Well that's if they had created any, both Kiraly and Hilario might as well have got a good book and read the way both teams failed to create anything.
The Red Devils are now a best-priced 8/15 to win the Premiership from the 8/11 they went to immediately after their St James' Park stalemate.
Liverpool are available at 66s with Hills as they continue their good run, while Arsenal remain 80/1 with the same firm despite their 4-0 thrashing of Charlton.
Things are beginning to look ominous for Alan Pardew's side, and they are 2/7 to be relegated with bet365 and as short as 1/5 elsewhere.
Bottom club Watford remain 1/14 (Coral) to go down, with Sheffield United 11/10 (Blue Square and Ladbrokes) to return to the Championship following their recent good run.
West Ham, still reeling from their 6-0 defeat at Reading, are fourth favourites to drop out of the Premiership as they are 15/8 with Stan James but just 6/5 at Blue Square.
It will be interesting to see what takes place over the next few days in the transfer market and the impact that will have, Chelsea may be the first big club to make their move with Jorge Andrade a possible loan signing.

MARKET REVIEW: Pretty Quiet start but sneaking in there at 1.5 million is the Carlos Edwards deal which should be a huge loss to Luton, Sunderland look to be making serious move, he will give them much needed creativity and flair across the middle.
ELSEWHERE the young Spurs starlet won't start to many but Martin Jol shows further he is a smart manager.
