REMIND ME ON NOT TO ARGUE WITH BARRY FERGUSON
THURSDAY JANURAY 3RD 2007 AFTERNOON VERSION: REMIND ME ON NOT TO ARGUE WITH BARRY FERGUSON
TODAY'S MUG OF THE DAY AWARD GOES TO DAVID MURRAY RANGERS CHAIRMAN
WELL there we go seven months in and Rangers have called time on their experiment with Paul Le Guen, his crime, not being manager of Celtic really. As our subscribers learned much earlier, Rangers manager Paul Le Guen has left the club by mutual consent.
Chairman David Murray said: "Having met with Paul it was clear that in the interests of the club we agreed jointly to him stepping down as manager."
Le Guen was in charge at Ibrox for just seven months - the shortest reign in the club's history, hardly enough time to learn what the difference between East Stirling and Stirling was let alone overturn a Celtic side with four or five years headstart on them.
What this means for the punters is as yet unclear, but early moves should be made in selling any kind of Rangers bet in Europe. There success in Europe was down to LeGuen's knowledge and tactics, much as any poor performance in Scotland was down to LeGuen not yet knowing the Scottish game. Rangers are now back to square one and Celtic will probably be value for the title this year, next year and every year for the forseeable future until Murray allows someone a chance to build for the longtime future.
BE SURE TO CHECK TOMMORROW FOR THE RUNNERS AND RIDERS FOR THE NEXT RANGERS MANAGERIAL CASUALTY.

Okay things I have to do for you folks, what do you mean I would have watched this anyway? Well good job I am anyway as I can give you some thoughts on betting, it really is a tough one to call. There can be little doubt that vocally Mark and Sarah are the best vocal couple, but when is that a talent show guarantee, Mr Steve Brookstein from X Factor 2004 your honour. In addition Mark has been ill and advised by doctor's not to sing, so 2.75 are difficult odds to get on board with, Hannah and Marti had a great first night and a mare last night so keep a watching brief on them. John and Jocelyn are the chico style entertainers, John has a hideous voice, but there fun to watch and entertaining and that can go a long way.
Luke and Natasha are interesting, they haven't had the best of judges comments, perhaps harshly and if they can win them over they can maybe stay in a bit longer, no doubt they can both sing very well. Brendan and Beverly are okay but neither of whom really warrant huge public support, but Julia and Tony are the interesting couple. Bottom three and worst first time out, last night they were much the best act and with Tony Christie's popularity and Julia continues to believe in her voice 21.0 could be massive.

Jo for me should be opposed, she isn't good looking enough to get the guys vote, not entertaining enough toget the floating vote and girls don't relate. H at 7-1 is hideous value seeing as he was once voted one of Britain's top ten hated men.
