RSVP PSV ASAP

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Another exciting night of european football is over and there's really nothing quite like the Champions League, certainly not the UEFA CUP. Still I have one gripe, can Sky or ITV or whoever shows the games stop telling us the scores from the other games during the match. With so many games on both channels and so many new fancy personal recorders it would be a perfect chance to watch back to back games one recorded, one live. If you want to tell us the score give us the halftime option because right now your ruining it for us football fans to have a real football watching marathon.

BETWATCH

We didn't quite make it on the anytime market with neither Podolski or Farfan finding the net but this week was a success on the anytime market as we got a big winner at 10.0 with Quaresma. It's worth noting extrabet's prices for future and see if they make the same mistake again of pricing european players so high.
However we did have a win on our big tip which was Bristol City away at Chesterfield a bargain 2.3 with BET365.

MARKET REPORTS
Man United and Chelsea seem to be battling for favouritism, with all bar Ladbrokes favouring the blues. United seem a little over-priced here as Larsson will be missed and with Saha out they may struggle for goals. Liverpool and Valencia follow and it is the spanish side who could be value. They're trading at 8.0 with traditional bookmakers and 8.8 with Betfair they have goals, strong defence, good form and a favourable draw Friday could make them worth a punt. It's worth keeping one eye on your betting accounts and the other on the draw this friday and acting quickly to make some investments. PSV are a massively over-priced 25/1 with ladbrokes, especially at a third the odds the final. That makes them around 8.5 to win two games, in a tournament that has no dominant team. They might not have been pretty against Arsenal but they did the job and still have a few key players to return. Porto and Liverpool have done similar jobs in winning the Champions League and we recommend a 10 per each way stake on them.
Over in League one Bristol City's win seems to have set them and Scunthorpe up for the two automatic spots, the race for the playoffs seems on with four places between eight. With no side really coming with a great run of form it remains one to watch rather than bet on.

TODAY'S ACTION
18:00 Lens (2.1) Draw (3.27) Bayer Leverkusen (3.8)
18:45 Maccabi Haifa (3) Draw (3.25) Espanyol (2.5)
19:30 Newcastle (2.1) Draw (3.3) AZ (3.8)
19:45 Celta Vigo (3) Draw (3.26) Werder Bremen (2.5)
19:45 PSG (2.5) Draw (3.2) Benfica (3.1)
19:45 Sevilla (1.45) Draw (4) Shakhtar Donetsk (8)
20:05 Rangers (2.15) Draw (3.3) Osasuna (3.8)
21:35 Braga (3.2) Draw (3.25) Tottenham (2.4)

NEWCASTLE V AZ: There is little doubt that the 3.8 on AZ is as tempting as the cakes in a shop are to Ronaldinho, especially when you consider that AZ have already been to Seville and won, I'd be recommending the cover with the draw but little doubt that this is good value. Even better value though is the 3.6 anytime goalscorer price with Ladbrokes and Coral on Danny Koevermans to score anytime. He has an impressive scoring record and finds the net as regular as Ronaldinho finds his sugar intake, with Calamity Bramble set to play there'll be opportunites galore for him to feast on.
RANGERS V OSASUNA: The bookies are finding this one a difficult one to price up, Rangers are showing improved signs under Walter Smith, while Osasuna are struggling in Spain, incapable of putting that big white ball between the two sticks. This game depends on how highly or not so highly you judge scottish football, probably one to avoid.
BRAGA V TOTTENHAM: This one is a tricky one to call, Benfica and Porto have already failed to record victories there, while Spurs until recently have had about as much away success as Robbie Williams has had with his career lately. However they have shown improved signs /spurs that is not Robbie's personalities) and this could be a very close one, Berbatov is 3.0 in the anytime market but with Braga's defence tighter than a Robbie rhyme it remains one to watch.
OTHER GAMES: Elsewhere Sevilla look nailed on to beat Shaktar Donetsk, the best way to play this is the win margin bet with bet365. If Sevilla win by two or more goals you get 2.2 if Sevilla win by one goal you get 3.5, it's a small add for the probable result but on the offchance that Seville win but it's kept close then this is a market worth playing.
Benfica also look good value in the draw/win market not to lose at a PSG side having a nightmare of a season.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
WHY THE US SPORTS MARKETS SO DULL? Many a premier league game has over 30 plus markets, while the average NBA game has five max. Isn't it about time the bookmakers spiced up their US Sports markets, I far one have many ideas have inventive markets they could run, but right now if you don't want to bet on something heavily stats laden such as total points and the result market doesn't appeal there is no where to punt. Come on bookmakers sort it out, if you need some help in the markets my address is at the top of the page, but it can't be beyond the brains of BET365, Paddy power and Stan James, the creative bookmakers to come up with something else.

BET OF THE DAY
PSV at 25/1 to win the Champions league, 1/3 the odds each way bet. 10 per cent stakes.
ALSO RECOMMENDED
AZ AWAY WIN/Draw at Newcastle 3.8 the win expekt, 3.3 the draw. 20 per cent stakes
Danny Koevermans 3.6 in the anytime market AZ V Newcastle. Coral/ladbrokes. 10 per cent stake.
Sevilla to win by one goal 40 per cent 2.2
Sevilla to win by more than one goal 40 per cent 3.5 both with bet365.
Benfica away win PSG 30 per cent, 3.0 various.
Benfica draw at PSG. 30 per cent, 3.2 various.

That's all for you tommorow, like Arsenal's season I am out, unilt tommorrow.
