TRANSFER BRIEFING: Boa Morte is no doubt the big move, while no doubt helping West Ham you have to wonder what the player was thinking swapping Fulham for a team places below them, it's called the Jimmy Bullard sidewards move from a player who expressed desire to move to a bigger team.
David Unsworth should add to Wigan's defence, even if there all over thirty and painfully slow.

MARKET MOVES
thanks to www.bettingzone.co.uk
1530: Bet Direct have unveiled a whole host of Celebrity Big Brother specials, including which celeb will get the highest UK chart position in 2007.
Leo Sayer is the 1/2 favourite ahead of Jermaine Jackson at 5/2, Jo O'Meara at 6/1, Ian Watkins at 7/1 and Donny/Towers of London at 8s.
And Bet Direct spokesman Stephen McDonald explained why they favour Leo, saying: "When you consider that Thunder In My Heart reached number one last year we believe the diminutive singer is likely to re-release such classics as "When I Need You" and "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing".
"The danger is Jermaine Jackson whose "Let's Get Serious" is a soul classic, and Jackson had the words on his jeans when he made his entrance to the house earlier in the week. If he comes to the fore during the show he could be a threat."

1425: The FA Cup clash between Chelsea and Macclesfield continues to generate amazing interest with Blue Square customers.
Despite being a standout 1/10 on Chelsea, only 63% of bets taken on the game to date have been for the home side, with the biggest single being £1,800.
Despite cutting the price on Macclesfield to 25/1 from 66/1, over 20% of the action on the game has been for the visitors.

1415: Punters looking to back England to win the 2009 Ashes series should head to VC bet.
The Gibraltar-based bookies are going best price about a home win, offering England at 11/4. They make Australia 4/9 and a drawn series 11/2.

1410: Bet Direct have an FA Cup special about which of the following groups will contain the eventual winner.
The Best (Chelsea & Man United) 11/10
The Best of the Rest (18 remaining Premiership Teams) 8/11
The Rest (44 Remaining Clubs) 16/1

1400: Blue Square received a record bet yesterday on next year’s US Presidential Race.

Until then, virtually all of the money taken had been for Hillary Clinton (4/5) but one punter has decided to back Democrat underdog John Edwards and his price has been cut to 6/1 from 8/1. at 8-1.
The most recent national polls show Edwards placing fourth among the Democratic field, behind Senator Clinton, Senator Barack Obama, and former Vice President Al Gore.
But on December 21 a poll of 600 likely Iowa caucus voters was released by KCCI-TV. It found that Edwards and Obama were tied with 22%, followed by Governor Tom Vilsack with 14%, and then Hillary Clinton with 10%.
Steve Tucker, Trading Director, commented: "Betting on this event is expected to increase during the year but we were pleasantly surprised to see interest in this market so early in 2007 and on one of the outsiders."

1345: While Cleo Rocas, who seems to be assuming a motherly role in the Celebrity Big Brother House, heads the betting, two other housemates have been clipped by Hills after coming across much better than their entrance suggested.
Despite his bad boy persona, Donny Tourette proved surprisingly entertaining on last night's show and has been cut to 8/1 from 14s.
Similarly, a string of three-figure bets for Danielle Lloyd has caught William Hill unaware and goes against the boos she received from the crowds on the first night. She has halved in price to win the show and is now a 10/1 shot.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said: "Donny is coming across much better than first assumed, while we are worried Danielle is this year's 'Chantelle' - an unknown outsider who is turning out to be quite endearing. The money we've seen certainly suggests she has plenty of fans out there, they obviously just weren't in the crowd on the first night!"

1255: England are the 5/1 outsiders for the Commonwealth Bank one-day series against Australia and New Zealand.

They head into the series on the back of their 5-0 whitewash in the Ashes and with a shocking one-day record in the last 12 months so it's no surprise Hills don't fancy their chances.
Australia are 1/3 favourites, with the Kiwis on offer at 4/1.
Meanwhile Ladbrokes trimmed Australia into 7/4 market leaders from 2/1 for the 2007 World Cup.
England, in contrast, have drifted to 11/1 from 10/1 with India also on the slide from 6/1 to 7/1.
And with pressure growing on England coach Duncan Fletcher, the Magic Sign go 6/4 that he is no longer in charge after the World Cup.

1210: William Hill have opened a book on how many Premiership clubs will make it into the fourth round of the FA Cup?

With four all-Premiership ties taking place, Hills go 20/1 that the maximum possible 16 top-flight sides make it through while 11-13 is the 8/13 favourite.
They also offer: 6/5 14-15, 20/1 7-10, 250/1 4-6.
Hills are also offering 16/1 that two non-league sides make it into round four, 2/1 that just one does so and 4/11 that none make it.

1100: Totesport have priced up five different regions and are asking which club will go furthest in this year's FA Cup.

The regions are London, North East, North West, Midlands and Yorkshire, with Chelsea (4/5), Newcastle (10/11), Man Utd (Evs), Aston Villa (2/1) and Sheffield United (8/11) heading their respective markets. West Ham, who would have won the London FA Cup last year, are 8/1 to collect again.

Paul Petrie, totesport spokesman, commented: "This could be a good market for those supporters who think their team can have a good cup run but don't think they can actually win it. Certainly the North East and Midlands markets look competitive and any team can win."

London: 4/5 Chelsea, 9/5 Arsenal, 9/2 Spurs, 8 West Ham, 18 Fulham, 25 Charlton, 40 Palace, 150 QPR, 300 Millwall, 1000 Barnet.

North East: 10/11 Newcastle, Evs Middlesbrough, 9 Sunderland.

North West: Evs Man U, 7/4 Liverpool, 7 Bolton, 15/2 Everton, 16 Blackburn, Man City 22 Wigan, 40 Preston, 66 Burnley, 150 Blackpool, 250 Oldham, 200 Chester, 2500 Stockport, 5000 Macclesfield.

Yorkshire: 8/11 Sheff Utd, 4 Leeds, Sheff Wed, 7 Barnsley, 12 Doncaster.

Midlands: 2/1 Aston Villa, 9/2 Birmingham, Derby, West Brom, 6 Wolves, 9 Coventry, Leicester, 18 Nottingham Forest.

Win Only, Dead-Heat Rules Apply if two or more teams make same round. London betting will not be affected by Millwall's result tonight.

1040: bet365 have pushed out their price on an Englishman lifting the FA Cup this season from 7/2 to 4/1.
Spokesman Steve Freeth said: "We had offered 7/2 when the draw was made in December, but there doesn’t seem to be much confidence in an English manager following in the footsteps of Joe Royle."
Royle lifted the Cup with Everton in 1995.

0930: Vijay Singh is the new favourite for the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Hawaii after taking a share of the lead after round one.

The Fijian, twice a runner-up in the US Tour's season-opener in the last three years, carded a 69 to finish on four-under alongside KJ Choi, Stephen Ames, Brett Wetterich and Will MacKenzie.
That quintet are one clear of Davis Love and two in front of a four-man group including pre-tournament favourite Jim Furyk and bettingzone.co.uk's headline tip Rory Sabbatini.
Singh, who carded six birdies, is 7/2 at bet365, Betfred and Stan James while Furyk is 9/2 with the same trio.
Choi is now the third favourite at 10/1 while Ames and Love can both be backed at 12s.
As for the other co-leaders, Wetterich is 16/1 in most books while MacKenzie is available at 25/1 with bet365.
Stuart Appleby, seeking a fourth straight win on the Plantation Course, opened with a level par 73 and is 16/1 at Blue Square and Stan James to continue his streak.
Sabbatini, tipped at 50s, is now 25s at Stan James.
Trade winds gusted upwards of 40mph on day one, causing Love - a regular at the Plantation Course - to comment: "This is probably as bad as I've seen it."
Ames said the last time he played in such strong winds was on the Saturday of the 2002 Open at Muirfield when Tiger Woods shot 81.
However the wide-open fairways at the Plantation Course meant scoring was still decent and 12 of the 34-man field managed to break par.
Dean Wilson and former Open champion Ben Curtis found it tough going though and both failed to break 80.

TONIGHT'S FOOTBALL PREVIEWS
LEAGUE ONE
YEOVIL (2.0) DRAW 3.43 HUDDERSFIELD 4.3

TEAMNEWS COURTESY OF BBC SPORT: Striker Marcus Stewart is available for Yeovil after completing his transfer from League One rivals Bristol City.
Boss Russell Slade is set to recall fit-again right-back Andy Lindegaard, though skipper and central defender Terry Skiverton is doubtful.
Huddersfield will be without striker Pawel Abbott and midfielder Adnan Ahmed, who are both suspended.
Midfielder Danny Schofield faces a late fitness test, while Andy Holdsworth and Aaron Hardy are also injury concerns.
RECENT FORM: Yeovil 6 3 2 1 10 6 11
Huddersfield 6 1 3 2 6 9 6
THREE GAME HOME/AWAY RECORDS: Yeovil 1 2 0 2 0 5
HUDDERSFIELD: 0 1 2
HOME RECORD SEASON: YEOVIL: 7-3-3-24PTS.
AWAY RECORD SEASON: HUDDERSFIELD 3 4 6 13PTS.
LAST GAME: Yeovil goalkeeper kept them in it against Northampton. 0-0 home draw, their second 0-0 home draw in a row.
LAST GAME: Huddersfield lost three-nil to in form Doncaster with a host of injuries.
THOUGHTS: Marcus Stewart's return will be a huge help and certainly help a Yeovil side who have had two o-o home draws in a row, though this countered by the loss of key player and skipper Terry Skiverton.2.0 seems reasonable bearing in mind Yeovil are higher in the league and Huddersfield's injuries and poor form. Still bearing in mind the two 0-0 draws and what happened to Yeovil last time Skiverton was injured I'll be pleased to stay well clear.

FA CUP 3RD ROUND
Bristol Rovers v Hereford
Memorial Stadium
Friday 5 January
Third Round
Kick-off: 1945 GMT
Referee: Scott Mathieson (Cheshire)
Replay date (if required) : Tues, 16 Jan, 1945 GMT
TEAM NEWS: Striker Sean Rigg is ready to return for Bristol Rovers for the FA Cup third-round tie with Hereford after recovering from a broken jaw. But Ryan Green is doubtful to face his former club due to a groin strain.
Hereford striker Andy Williams could be in line for his first start since the FA Cup second round win over Port Vale after recovering from illness.
Martyn Giles could also feature now the defender has recovered from dizzy spells that were affecting him.
STATS
Both Rovers and Hereford were unbeaten over the festive period, each winning twice and drawing twice. One of those draws was on Boxing Day, when the pair fought out a goalless stalemate at Edgar Street. Rovers have the edge this season, having earlier beaten United 2-1 at the Memorial Stadium in September, with a brace from 12-goal leading scorer Richard Walker.
Both these clubs are well placed to challenge for a place in the play-offs, lying next to each other in the top nine. Hereford are the superior by one place and one point. Both clubs have secured 10 League victories.
This is their first clash in the FA Cup.
FORM
Hereford 6 2 3 1 4 4 9
1 2 0 3 1 5 (H)
1 1 1 1 3 4 (A)
13. (9) Bristol Rovers 6 2 2 2 8 6 8 2 0 1 5 2 6 (H)
0 2 1 3 4 2 (A)
GAME THOUGHTS: Subscribers will know exactly why I think there is a mismatch in the market here. There is little to split these two sides in terms of league placings, recent form and in fact these two sides drew 0-0 at Hereford recently. This means that the pricing is a little off, Coral have 2.75 for Hereford which is what they should be, other teams have 3.25, even allowing for the home advantage this still a misprice. This game really could go anyway but I'm heavily leaning towards small stakes on Hereford and the draw cover.

STOKE V MILLWALL
Britannia Stadium
Friday 5 January
Third Round
Kick-off: 1945 GMT
Referee: Graham Laws (Tyne & Wear)
Replay date (if required) : Tues, 16 Jan, 1945 GMT

Stoke midfielder Peter Sweeney is set for a surprise recall against Millwall in the FA Cup third round. Loanee Salif Diao has been granted permission to play by Liverpool and is set to feature in central midfield, though Lee Hendrie has returned to Villa.
Millwall midfielder Alan Dunne is suspended after collecting his fifth booking of the season on Boxing Day. Also missing will be on-loan duo Liam Trotter and Charlie Lee, whose clubs - Ipswich and Tottenham - do not want to risk their players being cup-tied.

STATS
The Potters are positioned immediately outside the play-off places in the Championship, one division and 36 places higher than their south-east London based opponents.
Twelve months ago the Staffordshire club were taken to a replay, extra-time and penalties by Conference outfit Tamworth. They overcame that potential third round banana skin and went on to reach the fifth round for the second time in four years.
The Potters are yet to be beaten by Millwall in the FA Cup. This is the third time these clubs have been drawn together in the competition, each time in the third round.
MILLWALL had not won an FA Cup tie since losing to Manchester United in a one-sided final two-and-a-half years ago, prior to this current run.
Willie Donachie, Millwall's seventh manager in 28 months, has steered the side away from the League One relegation zone by virtue of two 4-1 victories over Christmas, either side of an abandoned match at Northampton. Stoke have won eight of their last 11 Championship matches, keeping clean sheets in eight of them.

FORM
Stoke 12-7-7 8-3- 2 4-4- 5
Millwall 7-6- 12 4-6- 3 3-0-9

GAME THOUGHTS: No doubt that Stoke are the better team, but the loss of Lee Hendrie has affected their creativity hard and 1.5 is an awful price. These two teams are only one league apart not two or three and the odds don't reflect this. Millwall are showing improved signs and have scored eight goals in the last two games, they should give Stoke more of a game than the odds reflect. Although I wouldn't go all the way and advise getting on Millwall as there away record is still questionable and Stoke still possess a great home record and a tight defence to break down. This one should be a no bet, or if you must then maybe try to get involved in the anytime market. Darren Byfield got two last time out and at 3.8 with Paddy Power is the best of a difficult bunch of betting.

MUG OF THE DAY: BOA-MORTE for that sideways move.
